Today the class sat their first complete (sans speaking) IELTS practice examination. After lunch the class completed the reading tests they each made over the weekend and three students, Dani, Pulung and Safril gave their presentations.

Listening & Writing: Watch a television show or listen to a news broadcast and write a summary.

Day 5, May 25, 2007

Today was a short day. Friday we finish early to allow the students time to return to their wives who are spread across Java and Sumatra.

On Monday the students will sit a complete IELTS practice test.

Today we got into some actual testing modules. The students completed a listening and a reading practice test. They followed the techniques we have been working on and consequently performed very well.

Their paragraph writing abilities have all increased a great deal and we will soon move onto writing longer passages at a faster pace.
